HIGH CAPACITY BATTERIES To upgrade energy storage capacity multiple battery modules can be added to the power system.
DEPLOYABLE SOLAR PANELS Total power generation capacity can be upgraded by adding deployable solar panels on one or both sides of the satellite platform. This is available for both 3U and 6U platforms with two deployable wings on each side of the platform.
SUN TRACKING PANELS For high power missions, it is possible to add solar panels that can track the sun during the orbit of the satellite until it enters eclipse. The solution and the available power output depend highly on the type of orbit and flight modes of the mission.
S-BAND BIDIRECTIONAL LINK For increased data rates between satellite and ground station, the satellite platforms can be upgraded with an S-band radio and patch antenna with faster communication speeds.
INTER SATELLITE CROSSLINK For constellations, Inter Satellite communications are crucial for building the crosslinks amongst the satellites. Our S-Band Inter Satellite radio and antennas allow for communicating with satellites along the same orbital path as well as between different planes.
X-BAND DOWNLINK For downlink needs required by some missions, the X-band radio and patch antenna offer unique data rate capabilities.

STAR TRACKER For satellites requiring very high accuracy in tracking performance, GomSpace offers integration of a star tracker to fit mission requirements. PROPULSION Cold gas propulsion provides fast dispersal of multiple satellites into same orbit, orbit maintenance during mission lifetime and decommissioning at end-of-life for the satellite. HIGH RESOLUTION GYROSCOPE GomSpace can provide a high accuracy MEMS based gyro to sample attitude data to improve ADCS knowledge of the satellite. DEDICATED ADCS COMPUTER On small satellites where higher attitude determination and control is needed, a dedicated on-board computer can be added. The ADCS computer also contains and integrated GPS module for increased knowledge of the orbital position. REACTION WHEELS To increase attitude control capabilities of a 2U or 3U satellite, it is possible to add one or more reaction wheels to store angular momentum from the satellite. This is standard on our 6U platform.
