Countdown for launching the next GomSpace satellites and products into space
This November SpaceX’s Falcon 9, Transporter-9, will be launching additional GomSpace satellites and products into low Earth orbit.
On the upcoming launch with SpaceX’s Falcon 9, Transporter-9, GomSpace is proud to be present in several customer missions.
Two of the satellites onboard the rideshare are developed and built for our long-term customer Unseenlabs from France. The two satellites, namely BRO-10 and BRO-11, are co-developed with the customer, and will be significant reinforcements of the Unseenlabs fleet of low Earth orbiting satellites.
Additionally, several GomSpace products and subsystems will be launched into orbit on the Transporter-9. Standard products and systems, for e.g., power, communication, attitude & orbit control, as well as command & data handling, are integrated into various customer missions.
One of the customers is NaraSpace from South Korea, and their Observer 1-A mission. The mission objective is to demonstrate a groundbreaking service that uses AI to transform satellite images into crystal clear visuals. Jungkyu Lee, Director of Satellite Development Division from Nara Space, comments: “We have had a very close relationship with Gomspace for several years. The GomSpace products' electrical & mechanical interface are so convenient to adapt to the Observer-1A system. This is why we have used and selected GomSpace products for our system.”
Carsten Drachmann, CEO at GomSpace comments: “Great to see so many customers using our technology on this flight, which is creating even more flight heritage to our already long history of proving our reliability in space. I am especially delighted to work with Mr. Jungkyu Lee and his team in their endeavours to build AI based solutions in space”.
