I began my journey at GomSpace as a Systems Engineer in April 2025, joining an open and communicative environment filled with talented people. From the start, I was trusted with responsibility across diverse and complex projects, which allowed me to apply my skills, explore my curiosity, and tackle new challenges, always counting on the support of my closest colleagues and of all the GomSpacers. In just a few months, I have contributed to multiple project phases from system design through the start of production.

If I had to describe my experience so far, the word would be dynamism: every day has brought new opportunities to learn and to make a concrete contribution to the space sector, a field in which I have always dreamed of making a concrete contribution.

Moving to Denmark has further enriched this experience. I have found a culture that truly values individuals above business, encourages openness, and fosters trust and initiative. The remarkable work-life balance and respect for personal well-being create a motivating and supportive environment that strengthens both professional growth and personal fulfillment.

Overall, living in Denmark and working in GomSapce has broadened my perspective and made this chapter even more meaningful.

I moved to Denmark in 2018 to join GomSpace and pursue my passion for the Space Industry. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to numerous exciting missions as a Systems Engineer, guiding projects through their entire lifecycle — from preliminary design to in-orbit operations.

What I enjoy most about my work is the diversity of challenges and the constant opportunity to learn and grow. At GomSpace, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with amazing colleagues in a welcoming and cooperative environment, all united by the goal of delivering ambitious missions in space.

I’m driven by the challenge of transforming bold ideas into reliable systems and by the opportunity to help customers worldwide achieve successful space missions.

I started working at GomSpace in 2013 as a student worker.

After graduating in 2015, I spent time exploring new challenges before returning in 2017 as a full-time signal-processing software engineer. What fascinates me most isn’t only space—it’s the cross-functional collaboration required to make a mission succeed. I love working with people from diverse backgrounds to build something greater than the sum of its parts, and I learn something new every day.

Today, as Software Product Owner for our Communications and Command & Data Handling products, I get to partner with teams across GomSpace and with our customers. I’m continually inspired by the missions we enable—from wildfire monitoring and climate observation to maritime connectivity and in-orbit technology demonstrations.

I joined GomSpace in June 2025 with a space systems engineering background. During my university years, I had the fortune to work on an ESA Fly Your Satellite!-endorsed mission, where I led the thermal testing team through satellite’s environmental test campaign. This experience gave me a solid foundation in the Assembly, Integration, Verification and Testing (AIVT) flow. Knowledge I am now applying in my current position here.

I hold a Master’s degree in Space Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and I moved to Aalborg specifically to take on this position at GomSpace. In my day-to-day work I define and execute assembly and test procedures as well as favor cooperation among various teams in our cleanroom.

One of my favorite aspects of my job is traveling and meeting new people when delivering satellites to customers. I truly love what I do: it gives me the perfect balance between the hands-on work I’ve always enjoyed, the engineering challenges and—let’s be honest—I am building something that goes to space!

I grew up watching and reading science fiction, and space exploration has always placed my mind in a unique state of curiosity and wonder. It is the idea that somewhere beyond our reach, something remarkable is yet to be discovered.

That curiosity first became tangible during my work at an observatory, where I helped control an 8-meter telescope. Capturing light that had traveled for millions of years felt like a real outer world experience.

At Gomspace, working with Attitude and Orbit Control Systems allows me to bring physics and advanced control theory to achieve accurate, purposeful motion in the harsh environment of space. Designing systems that will travel so far from Earth, yet operate them with extreme precision, is both humbling and inspiring. Knowing that such technology can enable discovery, communication, and understanding gives deep meaning to my work, and it is my true motivation to contribute to missions that expand what humanity can achieve.
